Meet the Illustrator Deborah Ewing

Growing up in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado, I spent my summers immersed in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, where my love for art and nature blossomed. From the time I could hold a pencil, I filled sketchbooks with illustrations inspired by the natural world, capturing the delicate beauty of flowers, animals, and, most of all, butterflies.

Butterflies have always held a special place in my heart—their vibrant colors, graceful flight, and incredible metamorphosis symbolize transformation and resilience. As an illustrator, I strive to bring these enchanting creatures to life on the pages of children's books, hoping to spark curiosity and wonder in young readers.

Just as every garden needs tender loving care to flourish, each page in this book was carefully crafted-from the first pencil marks to the final splash of color. Through my illustrations, I'm inviting you to join me in discovering the amazing connections between plants, animals, and the places they call home.
