Pazit Segal

Artist, storyteller, and observer of wild places

“I wanted every page to reveal how much life can thrive in a landscape that first looks impossible.”

I’m an artist living in Barcelona, a vibrant and inspirational city that respects people and nature. I have dedicated my life to the arts, architecture, theatre design, dressmaking, fine art and art therapy, and I persist on being a voice for art as a magic communication tool and skill.

I feel privileged to enjoy nature as a space of serenity and gratitude. When given this commission, the first feeling was pride. This magical place was actually near my home. I’ve been there a few times, so I can breath it, smell it and hear the sounds, accompanying me with every stroke of the illustrating pen.

When you are in the dead sea, you have many joys, but these are my main ones...it’s quiet, strangely quiet... the water is silent, the floating is unbelievable, even if you know you will actually float, it’s still surprising every time.. The bonus is you get to buy mud products and take back home, so you can continue to experience the benefits of these natural minerals at home... a special experience.

I hope you will experience this fascinating space in nature through my illustrations,

Enjoy!

Pazit’s illustrations invite families to look closer and discover the living stories hidden in a remarkable desert landscape.
