Meet the Artist:

Ruby Stathers

Ruby Stathers is mainly a self-taught artist inspired by nature. Growing up, when she wasn't playing in the backyard, she was sketching and coloring. Later on, she picked up some practice with art through grade school classes, and after one college intro-to-painting course, started creating her own acrylic paintings on canvas.

Ruby's style has evolved from landscapes and animals, to surrealism, to now a reverence for visionary art. Her meditative visions are aligned with life events, which she learns from in the process, and shares in stories for each piece. A theme of balance between Earth and Spirit defines her latest work.

As the styles changed, so did her life path. Ohio is Ruby's home state, though she has traveled extensively across the U.S. from seasonal work in national park gift shops to outdoor conservation, and now to entrepreneurship as an artist, painting teacher, and life coach - guiding others to remove creative blocks and hold inner peace.

Her visit to Glacier National Park was a top favorite, as she spent a few days away from forest inventorying on a reservation nearby in Montana. Besides the breathtaking views, comfortably wearing t-shirts while walking in the snow was especially memorable. Ruby is deeply passionate about environmental stewardship, so it was a no-brainer to apply to join this mission, particularly for the kids who are missing out by staying in!
