Artist, storyteller, and lifelong plant lover

“I wanted every page to feel like stepping into a garden—where a familiar leaf can open the door to a whole new story.”

Hello! I am a freelance Illustrator with a love for Animation. Because of that, I aim to put a bit of magic into everything that I create.

I grew up around nature and have a strong respect for herbs and what they can do!
Nature is part of our lives, and is ultimately our home, so why shouldn’t we respect it?

As with nature, I believe that art is an important part of our lives! It’s a way to express ourselves in a way that no one else can, and it connects people in ways that is hard found elsewhere.

That’s what I aim to do; connect with people through art. I want to make art that makes people want to make their own art, and I hope you feel that through the pages in my books!

Do what you love, and pursue it with your full heart. If you don’t, then who will?

Shana’s illustrations invite families to slow down, get their hands in the soil, and notice the useful wonders growing close to home.
